Lauren and Josh's fabulous wedding had an urban elegance meets industrial autumn kind of vibe. Making it extra memorable, they got married amidst the big Daily Show/Rally to Restore Sanity. We didn't let a little chaos get in the way of an amazing day. Their day came together with my studio-mates at Ritzy Bee Events and Simplesong Design. Here are a few of my favorite photographs and to see more check out their feature on Martha Stewart Weddings online.
a few details...
ceremony: Synagogue on I Street
reception: The Long View Gallery
event design: Ritzy Bee Events
paper goods: Simplesong Design
flowers: Sidra Forman
catering: Design Cuisine
Be sure to check out their 8mm film to see it all in moving pictures.

It was built in 1818 as a home to be "fit for entertaining"...and has been host to many grand parties and events over its years as a neighbor to the President.

I'm so thrilled to have Meagan and Thomas' wedding featured in the Spring 2011 issue of Brides Washington and to share a few of my favorite images from this sophisticated wedding that I had the pleasure of photographing last July.
Meagan and Thomas incorporated this German tradition (Thomas' native country) of cutting a heart in a sheet and then he carried Meagan through:

I loved the work of Volanni, whose modern arrangements complimented the historic setting:
